The Syria-China Business Council announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese Suzhou Land Group, a leader in the establishment, management, and operation of smart industrial cities, in the city of Suzhou, China. This strategic step aims to enhance industrial cooperation and transfer advanced international expertise to Syria.

Suzhou Land Group is among the most prominent integrated industrial groups in China. It has extensive experience in the development and operation of industrial cities and zones, and hosts within its complexes major German industrial companies operating in China. It also has a broad record of Sino-European cooperation and industrial knowledge transfer. In recent years, the Group has expanded into the Middle East region, particularly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with distinguished projects in smart industrial cities and the integration of industry with technology and investment.

The Memorandum of Understanding aims to:

· Transfer pioneering experiences in factory and industrial city management and integrate them with artificial intelligence technologies to serve the development of the industrial sector in Syria.

· Implement planning and management projects for major industrial cities in Syria and provide advanced solutions using modern technologies in administration and operation.

· Provide the opportunity to open an office for Syrian investors in the central industrial city of Suzhou Land Group.

· Facilitate the exchange of delegations and visits between Syrian industrialists and investors and their Chinese counterparts, thereby strengthening the building of long-term productive partnerships.

The two parties have agreed to begin implementing the provisions of the Memorandum as soon as possible, especially given the recovery of the Syrian economy after liberation and the genuine opportunities this phase presents for launching an industrial development path that supports reconstruction projects and enhances economic takeoff.

The Syrian-Chinese Business Council affirms that this Memorandum represents a practical step toward building strategic partnerships that contribute to knowledge transfer, industry localization, and the creation of a productive investment environment that serves the future of the Syrian economy.
